Treat your furry family members with homemade treats free of chemicals, unnatural ingredients and industrialized food additives that may be harmful to their health. Peanut Butter cookies are quick and easy to make and your pets will love them!
Most of the ingredients you will need you probably already have in your kitchen.
This is the only way you will know that you pet eats healthy. Your dogs will love these. I know that peanut butter is one of my dogs favorite flavors. So let’s get started. Follow the steps below and bake these yummy Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits for your pets.
The measurements here make about three dozen large biscuits. If you want less you need to adjust the measurements of each ingredient accordingly.
What you need to make the best old fashioned peanut butter cookies:
2½ cups whole wheat flour (see note below for substitutions)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup natural peanut butter (xylitol free peanut butter)
1 cup water
2 tablespoons honey
***NOTE: Some Dogs may be allergic to flour and/or wheat. You can make these wheat free by substituting rice flour of coconut flour. It may change the consistency of your mixture, but still works.
Instructions for Baking:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with cookie sheet paper. In the bowl combine the peanut butter, water, and oil. Add the flour slowly until you end up with smooth dough (no lumps). Tip: A mixer will speed up this process but hand mixing works just fine.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thick, and cut out biscuits with you favorite shaped cookie cutter. Place on baking sheets about 1/4 inches apart. Cookies will not spread out much. Bake until golden brown and cool completely before serving.
Old fashioned peanut butter cookies are my dogs favorites. If you are busy like I am, this easy peanut butter cookies recipe saves time.
